| Hey. I wrote up a thread on CivicLife.net but I thought I'd get a bit of input from you guys too.
Basically driving home the other day I notiiced a whistling noise from the rear nearside wheel.
The next morning I reversed the car and there was a loud creaking/whining noise, and when I drove forwards it went back to the whistling noise.
Over the next day (only driving a little bit) the noise has gone from a whistling noise to an ALMOST grindy noise. I say almost because it's not a heavy grinding, just like a skimming noise.
The cars been getting some stick recently due to me liking VTEC too much and I just thought I'd worn out the pads. So I bought some new ones and went to change yesterday afternoon. Didn't actually get to do it because it got dark too quick but I noticed that the pads are touching the disc but they're dead low :-S
Sorry I'm a complete newb when it comes to this stuff...But does it mean a piston might be stuck or something? Because surely if i changed the pads it wouldnt solve the problem if the worn ones are already touching...
I'll try and get a video of the noise for you and a photo of the calliper/pad.
But for now, someone help me please :-( I don't want my disc to get mashed up too! It's embarassing too having that gay noise come from it.

| If they are low change them and go from there, low pads will make a noise | |

| Oh dayummm I forgot about your hand :-(
Hope it gets better soon dude. I was signed off work for the mother of all blisters. It popped yesterday lol. Was disgusting. :-D
But yeah, my mate has offered to do them on Friday but as I've discussed with a few people, I'd rather pay the money and get peace of mind from someone who's done it plenty of times before. Plus you'd probably be able to talk me through it better so at least I get a chance to learn.
But yeah, he's willing to help. Same here too.

| ezza you still havent gone to the hospital? lol get on it!
As ezza said, low pads will make a noise. Even if they arent down to metal. With high performance pads they get very hard and cracked by the time they get low, due to the high temperature etc... and they seem to always make noises well before they get down to metal. I know how you feel thoug, any little noise and i want to fix it lol
