| Haha are you referring to my mx5 as being scary at high speeds around Birmingham? Looks clean, good base. On the right wheels this will be sick - chose wisely my friend | |

| na tbh it feels ok at high speeds, just feels like a go kart and when your doing 60 feels alot faster than it is lol i realy like the XXR 002's below UT they way to played out on mx5's, im realy feeling mega banded steelies tbh or summit old skool, not sure on any plans yet though, the only definate is to get it running sweet, manifold, system and burn tyres id love to think ill supercharge it in the future but i probs wont, when i can get a s13/s14 in bout 2years ill just get one insted me thinks | |

| I do like the XXR 522's aswell, they remind me of rota gtr's BUT....at my work we deal with a company called alcar, dunno if anyones heard of it?? they have just had in the new Leauge retro stars- which i think MAY look funky fresh with abit of camber n streachy goodness? there abit retro and there different which is good. what do the good people at TOA think? havent got any info on them yet tbh EDIT- just found this caption about the retrostars trawling through the net- Its the fitment that everyone wants. 15x7.5 with a et35 means it will have a really nice wide stance. 4x100 only, to fit Honda, Corsa, Clio, Lupo, Polo, Golf Classic and many more. Its a awesome 70s throwback design that will make any classic look fantastic. League wheels have their own special character that make them in a league of their own. | |

| That fitment doesnt sound that 'wide' tbh but they do look quite nice, thy will go on a MX5 nicely i think, especially a black one Im sure some spacers and a bit of stretch and they will look dope! | |

| Spacers & Stretch and you could be on to a winner What kind of money are they? If they are cheap I'd say yes, if not, I'd say keep looking | |

| I think MX5's can pull off a lot of styles and imo them rims will be hot spaced out. you gonna be bringing it to JAE? | |

| I read a thread somewhere about cages and people were basically saying they were just for show and werent very good etc, but again, I cant say i recall reading anything that actually backed this claim up. At the end of the day its a roll cage, if it didnt work surely they couldnt sell it as a 'roll cage' | |

| That type of cage will work and actually be safer then some of the roll bar crap i see bolted to the middle of an mx5, if you weld it in around the mounts you will get a better gain on rigidity then just bolting it to the floor pan. Looking awesomes though | |

| I think there is a difference between these roll cages, and the ones which are used to a professional standard which have to be approved. I can't remember the full details, but for competition purposes, it has be be a specific roll cage which passes certain criterea in order for the car to be used.
Love this build by the way! More pics!!! | |
