there were obviously no spread plates in place (which typically arent used with bolt in cages) or if there were the weight of the car going back over front pushed it through anyway.
In all fairness that car even stripped out probably weighs ALOT
but i was doing some reading and this cropped up showing (all be it slightly exagerated) the main weakness of a bolt in in a crash scenario
with a weld in your supposed to use a 6"x6" plate welded under the but of the cage to spread the load, and obviously the more points (2,4,6,8 etc) the better
tbh though i think the cage i want is going to be a bolt in but i'l weld spreaders in and weld it in
