| So here's the batter.. Few of ya have probably seen it about.. Nothing special outside really... just clean and coilover'd up lol. Some work has gone on under the hood though, I swapped in an SR20DE earlier on in the year, in place of the old shitty 1.6. Here's some pics from the engine swap.. Most recent one of the engine bay.. taken at JAE 09.. And a few of my racing adventures.. 5l V8? pussies haha Monaro VXR? You gotta check this video out all you honda boys... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Axqf5FTu4CYMay see some of yall about haha Joe

| It goes alright.. It aint that quick lol, not yet anyway haha Well to be honest the Almera sorta came into my hands as I sold my shitty old micra and my dad had this kicking around his unit.. I originally wanted an EK civic haha, as JDMASH had an EG at the time so I loved civics, so I was gonna sell the almera on as soon as a decent EK came up :/ But anyway my mate Matt helped me do some welding and loadsa other stuff on it to get it through its first MOT. By the time I'd taxed and insured it etc, The first time I drove it was to Matt's funeral (the mate who helped me fix the car up!!) so that was pretty shocking, but he was always saying I should mod it and make it quick haha, So I thought fizzle it, I'm gonna do that now. So I'm here today with the almera still haha. You're right about the wheels tho bud.. They sit in a bloody mile, does my head in!! Don't wanna fcuk up the handling by spacing or owt though.. Joe | |

| noway, fair play.
Spacing the wheels out a bit would make for better handling, giving the car a wider track. nothing too stupid tho, just enough so the wheels sit flush with the arches.

| LOL ezza joka, hope not if it goes this time i doin the next swap myself from start, H22 i gave up on that thing for a long time the scrap heap jus pissed me of, gona give it a miss for winter no point but i will be working on it and get it ready for summer, need to get it mapped and aint found anywhere good.
You bung theory dazzles me? On my ek when i put my bung in it had way more tourqe (back pressure related) and pulled harder but then did die of top end, an with my EG i had a free flow system an ezza will agree it made loads noise didn move at all (imagin a slug makin noise as it wiggles past you for ages lol) then i put the cat an mid pipe in an it pulls way harder so what the hell do we do to get an all round setup that gets best potential?

| true dat^ as for an all round theres no such thing, u either sacrifice top end for torque or torque for top end.
also shaggy my 02 sensor was out, sorted that now and it pulls harder, we'l have to line up again, just for shits and giggles.

| Hahaa new lineup is good by me, straight road with no roadworks ftw haha. All I know is its pointless having a 2.5" downpipe, decat, and 2.5" mandrel bent cat back system leading to a 1" exit lol, its like breathing through a straw, you can actually feel it struggling! Its too loud for road use otherwise though.. It aint like a little D15 or even B16 tho is it, bit more displacement, I mean.. People run 3" straight through on these motors and make power and torque across the whole rev range lol, they love the free-flow.. Joe | |

Back pressure kills power, it doesn't create it. Back pressure is ALWAYS a bad thing! Whether it's n/a or turbo, you never want back pressure, that's why we put free-flowing exhayst systems, de-cats and less restrictive air filters on our cars - to get rid of back-pressure and restriction in order to create more bhp and torque. Remember when I had the Spoon exhaust on my EK Jordan, and we took the bung out (that I didn't know was in there) it was more powerful (and a lot louder). It felt more rev happy and pulled better. Hondas never had torque to begin with, so any improvement on that was great If backpressure crates torque, then stick a cork in the end of your exhaust, you'll pull on ANY car then!
