JAE 2009 everything you need to know........

The pre-event reps meeting will take place at 11am on Saturday 9th May, at the new venue: Wicksteed Park.
Anyone wishing to attend can either make their way to the venue for the designated time and follow the signs at the showground after paying to get in. If you don't want to have to pay the £6 access charge on the day you will need to register your details with me first (either by PM or email). So I need to know the car details if you want to get in for free. As far as I know they will just be explaining whats going to be going on and show you around the site (good time to view speed bumps) and I think you can have a say on where the stand should be.

Just had a call of Duane, hes got cover at work so him and Crawf will be attending on behalf of the club, get as much info as you can guys, maybe a photo or 2?

right, just got back from the 'gathering', few quick points an a few snaps,

Thursday is ticket only (advance tickets avaliable until 1st sept) which i reccommend we get, mainly for setting up, i'll be going on thursday afternoon to see all there is to see over the weekend so if anyone wants picking up ill shoot to daventry for crawf, meaning if jdm michael wants picking up i can swing by that way or anyone else in the northamptonshire area.

One support vehicle (non jap) allowed and has to be registered with john @ JAE before hand.

Exclusive access to rides on one day (friday i think) and they MAY have a free go-kart time-attack competition where a few members from each club (and one female -pits-) race one another to find the fastest club.

12pm curfew for engines and loud music because of nearby residents, however there wil be food/music available in the main centre untill early hours of the morning.

Auto-Jumble on the saturday, bring and sell/buy car parts

John wants feedback on the JAE forum as to what other entertainment/events we would like and what music preference.

fireorks on the saturday and the other events previously listed.

And finally a first for JAE, not definate yet but they are thinking of having streets of cars instead of square club spaces, so diagonally you have rows of cars either side with walking space down the middle, with street names so there will be 'streets' with cars facing in diagonally either side and camping space behind the cars if you can picture it, hard to explain in writing.


Now i reckon we should have a pre-show meet sometime soon to discuss what we will have on our stand as other clubs are having bbq feats, themed nights, generators with lights (avaliable to rent from john @ JAE) and allsorts so maybe we should have some sort of club event.


Last note- i have pre-booked our space, it isnt final and the plans will be available on the JAE forum and we will have to fight for it (ned), but it is on the main entrance road on the far side of 1 of 3 car filled fields (the main one) where people have to drive past us to get in, opposite us is the autojumble area (first dibs on stuff), to our left the funfair and food, behind us is the main hall, so we are central but next to a road at the end of a field, ill just post up the pic lol and michael wants to know if theres a spare space for his scooby too i think (will be slameed by then) will post pics tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
