| not yet, im skint atm.
It handles sick exept theres tonnes of oversteer waiting to jump me when i let off/brake, those rear tyres are shite i think, i need to get new rears anyway as ones punctured.
Just a few things to sort out as above then il sort the teg.
I thought about the c4 in there but i really wanna get the dc done now.

| yeah, ive got proxes4's on the front of the teg now, and 'events' on the rear. lift off oversteer is crazy btw, proxes4 are the best tyres in the wet ive ever had, definately getting another two for the back to make a full set | |

| Well.......its fucked!
last night, raced an evo 5 (which was going nowhere) a pulsar which i killed over and over till a stripped and caged EK9 with some irraticly driving jap or chinese dude driving then the pulsar gave up, the EK9 was toast until my car started to struggle for power, it got worse and worse till i had to crawl it back home.
If i loosed the throttle it would cut out and the starter didnt have the power to start it back up (seizing?) so i had to bump it while still rolling, and it started to sound real nasty like a deisel. vtec was still engaging meaning it still had oil preassure but when i checked the oil just (left it over night to settle) its dry as a bone, where nearly 1.5 litres of oil has gone in such a short space of time i dont know, and its not smoking anywhere near as bad as cars iv had before which have used less oil. There seems to be oil on the block coming from under the head too, so i guess im stumped in blaming it on one fault.
head gasket, rings, valve stem seals, and any other damage that may have been done if it has nearly seized, not to mension checking the ignition. A couple of people have said it could be but im not too sure.
If anyone knows how to check the dizzy cap is working fine lmk, and if anyone has a preasure tester or knows someone with or where to get one cheap lmk.
two cars on my drive in bits.....................bad times

| if the dizzy cap wsn't working properly it would be like a really bad miss fire, last night it was not a missfire. sounded like the block was seizing up ( wanting to cut out & hard to turn over)
I didn't want to say at the time last night but I think it may be due to oil starvation.

| Thats what i thought, but i wouldnt have expected it to vtec without oil if vtec wont engage without propper preasure | |

| 2bf dude i've known a few dohc's to vtec without mearly no oil in them, 1 of which being mine + my block leaks oil from the head and my valve stem seals and all that may have gone but mine has yet to feel like it wants to seize up. know it sounds daft but double check the sump plug you mite have threaded it? make sure you rocka cover seals arnt fuckook'ed and leaking in oil to the plugs, bit of a mission but also take of the breather box at the back of the engine under the intake mani just to make sure its not filling up and leaking from the drain point.
sump plug. sump seal. rocka seals in and outer. plugs, mite have threaded. breather box, back of of the engine.
hope that helps? | |

| cheers guys, i wouldnt attemp to start it dry, what do you take me for??! lol
il check that shit cus, although i dont think it will be the main cause but they may well be attributing to it.
I spoke to an engine specialist the other day, i asked him what damage to expect from what i explained had happened, he reckons crank big end bearings, and maybe mains bearings, gunna get them off for him to have a butchers.
Hopefully i can just add crank bearings to the list of things to replace, il keep updates coming as and when.....

| can't believe it dude...... it sounds like its similar what happened to a mate of mine, ben, with an ek9. # me and him were having a play up the orbitals and he dropped back, so slowed down to wait for him, and see what was up. we pulled in off the road and it sounded pretty awful. he said he had lost power aswel when it started to make the noises. checked the oil. bone dry dipstick ftl! it ended im being the crank big end bearings (im pretty sure of this). i know he repaired it himself anyway. i'll get in touch with him ezza, see what he says. | |
