Just thought id introduce myself as im a noob, think a few of you know rob in halesowen who drives a grey civic.

Currently in the process of re-building my D15b vxi lump in my del sol..bad stem seals have left me no choice but to rip the engine apart! (ahem.)

ah he's always busy these days, he's mentioned your name before mate...if you ever fancy giving me a hand one weekend i'd supply the tea! got the head off, gonna buy an engine crane this weekend i think, need a hand getting the bottomend and tranny out, more importantly popping the driveshafts off and having someone handy. Where is there round by us to get honda parts from?

Depends what kind of parts, i usually use local motorstores for generic stuff then internet for specialist stuff.

Im not sure if im working this weekend or not yet, but tbh its not hard to do yourself, i did mine.

Get the engine crane supporting the engine, undo mounts (carefully, watch your fingers etc) then slowly lower to the ground, then remove crane, jack up car take off drivers side hub assembly, drag engine out through arch.

aha yeah mate i had a red SIR sol last year and now ive got a silver VXI in the garage. As soon as its back on the road ill get donw to the meets on a monday and properly introduce myself..or ill come down with rob when the fucker's not busy
