engines going back in tomorrow, can anybody tell me which gear box oil to use? standard 5-speed tranny.

aaand forget this whole thread.

For honda, they specify Ultra MTF 3, which is equiv. to MTF 94, which in reality is MTF 75-90w semi-synth, but you can use 10-40w motor oil.

i wouldnt reccomend putting 10-40 in a gearbox, its ok for a temporary measure on emergancy, but not for daily

dont use engine oil, it tends to make the changes harder over time,

only use these

CastroL- SMS (I think thats the name) i used this as i get discount at wrk.
HONDA MTF - honda will fill u 3 litres for 25 pound

Yeah, just go to Honda with a container and they'll fill it like Tesh said.
