| can anyone find a link on how to split them? i want to confirm whether i can just remove the face without disturbing the seal with the lip. from the looks of it when you remove the bolts then face will come away, and the lip will be sealed to the basket. only want to do it so i can get the faces polished up | |

| Are they 2 peice?
if so it will be the face, the bolts go through the face so it has to be the face

| they are 3 piece rims. you can see theres sealent where the lip meets the basket. the difference with these and bbs's, rs's for instance, you have the remove the lip to remove the face, therefore breaking the seal. With these it looks like you can remove the face without disturbing the seal. and what socket/bit would i need for them? where do i get one? | |

| try sockets on and see what size they are, then if they are hex type heads go to halfruads and get the respective socket, they work a treat.
once all the bolts are out tap the face from behind with a mallet (when i say tap i mean assault)

| same as my SSR's...ou can remove the centre and leave the rim/basket in one piece...makes refurbs and colour changes easy...
as for seperating...support thr rim on a nice soft couple of pieces of would and attack the centre from the back with a rubber mallet...simples

| 8mm Spined socket and ratchet, 10mm ratched from behind few minutes later gave the centre a pull and out she came easy as pie. schmidts have got to be the easiest wheels to refurb by far. gave it a clean and its ready to be sent for polishing sending one for now to see the results | |
