| hi all, after wanting to go to japan for years i've had a look around and you can pick up a holiday in a 3 star hotel for 7 days for about £650-£700 in tokyo, thaty price is based on 13th jan 2011-20th jan 2011 (when the tokyo auto salon is usually held),
anybody else up for this? i'm going to go, probably put the deposit (usually 10%) down on the 28th may weekend when im up in bham incase anyone else wants to go, then you can pay in installments of however much you want (as long as its payed off before end of november-ish)
im thinking 7 days, go to tokyo auto-salon, tsukuba, fuji speedway and all the sick garages that are there. Everyone on here will want to go no doubt but is anyone avtually interested in it?

| well just spoke to a few mates that are going ibiza in a group, apparently whoever wants to go, if w meet up and pay individual deposits then we can do it as a group so people can book at a later date in the same group, then you all have your individual 'accounts' that you pay your balance off to (not credit, but to the holiday provider) and you select a group leader that receives all the info etc,
based on 4 people in 2 rooms : £755 depart 13th jan return 20th jan at Shinjuku Washington Hotel (3 stars)
plus at the minute online you can get 20% off flights and hotels at thomas cook
p.s. the deposit would be like £75 and then £100 a monthy till nov

| i was actually on holiday in Japan last year & must say, it's definitely worth the trip! i stayed in a hotel in Musashi-koyama, which is about a 15min train ride from Shibuya, but it cost me about $60.00 USD a night ( £39.57 if i'm not mistaken). the luxury of a hotel is fantastic, but why spend so much money on a room if you're going to be gone most of the day. all you need is a place to shower & "handle your business".
i suggest staying at a hostel. not as luxurious as a hotel room, but it gets the job done.
another suggestion: Tokyo is definitely a fun place to stay. awesome nightlife and tons of beautiful ladies! just speak a few words of english & you'll make the ladies go crazy! (i speak from experience. haha) But if you want to check out some awesome garages & the local street racing/drifting scene, i HIGHLY suggest visiting Osaka. that's definitely the mecca of anything jdm!

| My gf stayed in a hostel and said it was way cheap and like you say was more than enough for just sleeping, showering etc.
I think we would all be making the trip mainly for the racing so id have to go with osaka, theres girls everywhere, lol, no need to go to japan for that
