Welded diff's Empty

Im guessing they are 'ruined' once welded, as in they cant be put back to oem?

I was reading somewhere you can put shims in the diff which can make it equal to a 1.5 way or a 2 way depending on the shims.

anyone know anythin about this?

fuk the shims boys can be worse than a welder if they break! just weld it and get a 3 way! you will probs never get to the stage where you need lsd anyway! only real advatage is when compeating /twinning! and the still not a must! just get a welder!

I was talking to my dad about it, gunna keep it as daily friendly as poss atm and IF i do get any good at this drifting and want to go further i can just get a 1.0 runabout.

All hypathetical though
