| Ive not owned a BMX since the late 80's when I was a kid, wish I had it still as it was a white burner with white mags (so sick). But with all the talk of BMX's for JAE I set about getting a cheap one to do up, So I had a chat with a mate who does a bit of scrap collecting in his spare time and he said he would keep his eyes open for one. So he calls me up and says hes got me a BMX and it needed some work but I could have it for £5. Here's what I got: No chain, broken brake cables and handles, steering fecked, bald tyres, ripped seat and no bolts holding the back wheel on So I took it to a local bike shop in Great Bridge for a full serivce and replacement parts. I did kinda go a little OTT on some things though. £80 later (I had already brought the seat).... came back with DiamondBack double kevlar aerial combat seat. Sweetskinz digi camo glow in the dark tyres. New chain, bearings, wheel nuts, Miranda classic brake levers, and S.S.T Oryg brake cables But while it was away i'd been on ebay and got these DiamondBack team BMX grips and fitted And while it was a nice day today I thought a good clean and polish was in order. the paint is not the dull matt finish I first thought it was. Im must have been really dirty. | |
