anyone else having troubles gettin on it. i was after some DIY spoiler tilting action but cant get on to the how to or anything else!

Hi guys, I understand your concerns. Most of which are due to a slow site, which I can totally understand.

As a professional web designer I know the rules when it comes to making a good site. It needs to be fast, that's the number 1 priority, if its not fast enough then people will get bored, frustrated and angry. This will cause people to leave the site. - So sorting out the server issues is our main priority.

After that comes usability, how easy it is to use the features on the website. For instance, I see quite a few people don't like the PM system. Personally I don't find it much different. - However, little things like this make for a pleasurable experience when visiting the site, so we need to iron out these issues. At the end of the day, we strive to provide a great service for you guys. Hence why I bust my balls daily sorting out CL, free of charge

After this is probably as important as the first two... Accessibility, being able to view the content you want to see quickly and easily with no effort at all. This is where the following comes in; View New Content button, highlighting of new threads, searching old threads and new, etc. - At the end of the day you are here to visit the site to view information, articles and general banter. So providing a fast and easy way of viewing this content with no confusion is the our ultimate goal.

I know a lot of you question why we bothered moving over to the new forum software (InvisionPower), and I have gone through it several times. However, just to refresh, we really want to expand CL into other areas so we can offer you more than just a forum. We want to make your experience even better by offering more features, ie. User Blogs, CL Official News Articles, Chat Room, Rating Systems, eBay styled classified section with user rating system, Traders Marketplace (traders have dedicated web shop fronts), Banner Advertisement, Social Networking features, and the list goes on.
We couldn't of done this on the old platform, so upgrading was necessary.

I apologise for the constant errors, lack of speed and server downtime. That's our fault, we didn't anticipate this happening at all. Hence why I have bit the bullet and I am now paying £220 a month for a kick ass server that is owned and managed by InvisionPower themselves, so we can guarantee it the site will be up 24/7/365 and running as fast as ever!

The transfer will be starting sometime this week, so please hold tight. I am so looking forward to getting CL back on track, as its really been a lot of pressure on me these past couple of months.

As for people that can't log in at all, this is due to the server not being able to cope with too many connections to the site and will be fixed when we transfer to InvisionPower's hosting. Their accounts are safe and still there, so nothing to worry about. If you know anyone with this problem, please let them know for me

CL will be back on track asap people, I appreciate everyone's patience through this time and hope you will continue to support CL for as long as your interest lives :

not moaning about the forums as yes the majoreity of it is gash.

this forums quickly going to go the same way if people cant even stop themselves from typing pointless bitchy comments.

were all friends here, help each other out instead of moaning about a post they put up
