Where to move..

..Well at work I've got the choice to move to two different departments. Either the petrol station or BWS (Beer, Wine or sprits).

Petrol will be over nights on alternate nights including Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, adding upto 24 hours/wk + overnight premium.

BWS is a 12 hour contract doing evenings in the week which is a bit more sociable.

I know the obvious choice is the one with more money but I've been doing overtime on BWS and I enjoy it, I may not in a few months though. As for petrol I've never worked there so I don't know how it will go.

And I need to decide by the morning.

Can you see any flaws that I haven't noticed?

Id go BWS, petrol will get very boring very quickly imo. Same thing over and over again.

where bws you will be in store, able to chat, have a bit more freedom

I'd get more money and be bored and have more to spend on my car

i did the nightshift 3 days a week 11-7 whilst at college....the petrol station on the wolverhampton rd at the top of the northway...where the old peugeot garage was

some nights got as many as 20 customers...you read every magazine known to man...and woman...listen to late night radio ( was jeremy kyle on beacon or brmb before he was famous) and sell biros and tin foil to bag heads

you get the pick of the out of date food...and the pay was good too

sometimes it not always about the money if your not enjoying it, but then again doing the petrol station seems like its more more money and from andy statement you do less....

50/50 really but if it was me i'd prolly go with the instore

Petrol it is, signed the contract this morning. Start 23/1 hope it was the right choice.

Errrm i wud say petrol more hours u can socialise when u get time use iphone online at work and other stuff, by looks of it a 12

hour contract aint gona make u enough money to be able to even socialise anyways, way i see it is while work is available an money to be made do it while u can, or waste the opportunity and socialise by spending most the time talking about how skint u are due to not havin enough hours an wishin u took the job with more hours.
