Hey guys,
Here for sale is my Civic vt EE9
Milage: 125500
Mot: May 2011
Tax: 6 Months tax
I brought this car to use as my daily whilst my EG6 was with the DNR boys having some work. Was looking for a diesel but saw this and fell in love bit of an impulse buy as i adore 4th gens. By no means a regret, this car is FAULTLESS it really is, so much so infact i had spoke to Daz about getting rid of my EG6 and dropping the engine into this, but it wouldnt make sense after spending so much on the EG6 i could not justify buying all new bits for the VT so unfortunately it has to go to free up funds for other ongoing projects.
ModsPreety much standard from the service history seems theese were just replacements for rusty oem exhaust and blew oem shocks.
Full Powerflow exhaust. (Nice and Quiet quite low pitched not a screaming like a kamakhaze bomber very subtile for daily use)
Gmax shocks and lowering springs about 40mm drop.
(Gives the car a sturdier feel great balance and poise)
Watanabe RS 8II wheels. (Split rim 15" Looks the bees knees)
As with most of the cars i aquire first thing i did, i took her for 4 wheel alignment, this gives me a chance to check for damage get the car on the ramp an check underneath have a good look/poke about check sills for rust etc etc. My findings were that the sideskirts werent hiding anything nasty all down the sill looks great only a very little surface rust on (for lack of the propper name of it haha) the welded seam that hangs fown from the sill?! A little spot on both ends but nothing to get excited about.
The passenger side steering rack arm were excessively worn so brought a genuine brand new one direct from honda (expensive). I were also greeted to brand new genuine bushes all around (Backed by service history).
The guy who does all the alignment commented that it was "Perfect" Structually an a "beautiful classic honda, pleasure to work on" Theese sorts of comments have been followed throughout my ownership. Everyone that has ever commented her has only had posative feedback and how much she shines and gleams. She is very bright, stands out a mile when clean, seems she has always been well looked after even down to the interior which has no marks on dash etc etc (Even though she is a little dirty inside due to the crappy winter we have had)
It has full service history and is a really interesting read. Its had a colourful life seems it has been owned by a fair few car sales garages (Probably spent its younger years in and out of auctions brought and sold for profit) But the owners she has had have done a brilliant job of looking after her, Absolute thousands in receipts and bills well over £15K in servicing and parts easly.
All the love shes received is refected in the way she drives which really is faultless shes very very smooth not like a 21 year old car most probably down to the fresh bushes all around.
She has great balance through corners not twitchy or unsafe very solid drive, picks up lovely all the way through the rev range.
Absolutely no crunches or whines throughout the gearbox she selects every gear wonderfully without problems neither high or low revs.
Engine is sound very minor LMA tapping but cant really hear it, uses absolutely no engine oil or water only ever been ran on the best fully sythetic oils,
Seriously ive never had to top it up only after oil changes has it needed oil.
Brakes are quite possibly the best old honda brakes ive ever used all pads have plenty of life left in them most look new if im honest. I have 282, 262 on the EG6 with ITR M/C and theese vt brakes would put my eg to shame easly!
Rediculously quick also for a bog standard set up. (I own a 230 bhp B18C EG6 so i know a thing or 2 about a quick B series) Obviously shes not a patch on my other honda but she would still hold her own against the bigger boys as im sure anyone that owns a half quick honda will know.
MPG wise ive been getting about 35-40 miles, if i have been a little enthusiastic about 28-32 miles
As far as bad points go the drivers side bolster has been patched up but looks to have been done to a good standard considering.
Random spots of rust there are around about 3-4
1 bit on the passenger rear window at the back (Pictured. About a 5p coin size)
a spot coming through just under passenger lock (Probably attempted to be stolen then patched over using a touch up pen as the colour is slightly different forgot to get a picture will get one asap.
(About the size of a 10P coin)
The bubble that has'nt broken on the drivers side pictured. (Thats the only bit of rust on the actual sill/arch)
A tiny bit on the side of the honda badge (Pictured)
Not really any dinks or dents in her, none of this car park dings buisness as i said meticulously looked after by every owner. All panels are straight no colour disfiguration or sagging nice bright fresh paintwork.
All electrics work perfectly windows sunroof mirrors etc etc all work like new. Heater fans only works on settings 3 and 4 im sure this is somthing minor but it has not bothered me none, everything else works as it should!
I have tried to be as honest as possible as i wouldnt want to disapoint any potentual buyers. If anyone wants any more pictures or have any query's need of more information, please dont be shy i am happy to answer any questions anyone has absolutely nothing to hide.
