hi all,
my friend have a 2 door ek shape cope.
was a d16 engine before, some one put a b16a2 for him.
and now problem was the car start and drive but no vtec.
he try use a b16a2 ecu, but car will not start.
iam sure there is some things to do with the loom, like swpaing or adding wire thing.
iam now try to find more details to sort out the problem.
please help.

If the car was already a vtec d16 there should be no need to add any wires.

what ecu is he using?

not 100% sure is it a d16 vtec before.

i think he still use the standard loom.
he use the standard ecu = car start but no vtec
he use b16 ecu = car no start.

are we 8:00pm tonight ?? remember to text me. if the Mrs let me go i willl pop over.

What OBD is the B16 ecu he tried?

I think later on, probably 10:30 onwards, the later the better really

im pretty sure that the 1.6 coupe are not vtec, im not a 100% but pretty sure, if thhis is the case he will need to add a wire for vtec

the other thing is if he's running it with the 1.6 sohc ecu it wont run right, you need to get a conversion harness from whatever OBD the car is to match the OBD on the ecu to run a b16a2.

EJ6?? Non vtec D16y7 - whats on the chassis code?? Right hand side by the battery??n and what was the engine code ??

also finally fixed the power steering on the 90. but the new motor is slowy getting there, i can not design which car should i drive to the meet at Feb !!!!!
