| josheyboy As you have probably guessed a lot of folk on here are not Fans of ROTA's why: Personal taste Copies of genuine rims Cheap build quality the list is endless I dont wanna shock you here but you can pick up Real big brand genuine rims cheaper then new/used Rota's if you know where to look, yes you can afford them..... plus no ones here to argue. I paid £180 for a set of Schmidt Modern lines. (Easy 450/£500 set) I was gunna buy a set of PIAA nakajima racing 3 piece split rims for £200 (no tyres) (over £1000 worth of mega/ ultra rare rims) but the guy wanted a full GTI interior for them instead (long story) And plenty of other chaps on here will have similar stories of how cheap they got there genuine rims.. See were here to help... If you had posted up lads im after some sick deep dish genuine JDM rims budget is XXXX you would be rolling on Genuine JDM goodness right now... BTW ROTA are not actually JDM (Japanese domestic market) as they HQ from the Philippines Also there is only one member on here that loves Rotas almost as much as this guy enough said mate its your car, your choice... | |

| Once lowered it will look good, such a soft spot for mx5s! As for the rota bashing just take it on the chin mate, it's only teh interwebz nobody on here would be arsey in real life to your face about your rims! I personally have nothing against ROTAS I rocked them for time but personally I prefer slightly more old school looking rims on mx5s! | |

thanks If you have no decent parts to post pictures of then don't post them thanks. Honestly, what else do you want me to put? you want honest feedback about you're car or do you want us to lie and say "oh well done chap, your wheels really suit an mx5"? The price you paid for them you could have honestly brought some nicer rims. Mine cost me 250 quid with postage. Im not even kidding. *Sigh* is it just me or are we going to let TOA turn into the "civiclife" for any make of car?

| I got turned down by a chap when I was selling my ssr type-x's for £200, then the next day he brought brand new rota auto-x's! For like £400!
Anyway dude I've had a set of rota's in the past, this is an ongoing thing/argument on here (which I'm on the against side btw) but you won't be set on fire for having a set, a few members have them.
Post up some pics with the coils an slam it, watch people's opinions change lol

Ahwell its getting slammed 2nite! the fact remains, they are replica wheels. its not YOUR particular set that is "this much hate". the "hate" as you call it, is generated by the owners of rota's thinking they are shit hot, or that they are 10 times cheaper than the real deal. its the principle of it. if you shop around you can get the real set for a good price, not to mention second hand. theres no excuse. and its not necessarily the 'brand' name wheels that are considered sick. if they are a brand name, but look like ass, they are......ass :-/ enkei, bbs, all the top names, they do make some ASS looking wheels. there's rocking replica wheels, then followed closely behind that is rocking some genuine, but shit design wheels, just for the name. whatever, this debate will go on and on if we let it dont let it give you the wrong idea about TOA, we have certain views, and values that we stand by. As for the MX5 dude, its looking good, and looking forward to seeing the slammage.
