| I ment is steels being stronger, Rota's got a bad name cause they used to be know for cracking/splitting ect i.e not safe
IMO having a set of rota's is like having a pair of hi-tec trainers.

| isnt the damage to the rotas due the general wear and tear like all wheels.
ned i meant that the rotas would be safer as they are of a more suitable size for duanes big lude especially this time of the year where the roads suck ass.
As for them cracking i havent seen the forum on rotas but everyone local thats using them dont seem to have had any problems yet.

| from what i remember the problem occurs when powder coating the wheels as the metal they use slightly weakens when coated, meaning they are more vulnerable,
but also on honda-tech is a thread on theels cracking, etc, and there are more enkei's, volks etc that have broken/caused accidents than rota's on the thread

| the main reason volks ect crack is the age of the wheels, most these sick rims you see are aover 15 or so years old, add that to having very stiff suspension set up and low profile tyres then they are more likly to go.
But you cannot ever say a set of rota's are cool, its like wearing a fake watch or HIKE socks, just not right IMO and I will not have my mind changed.

| Fair point ned (although i do own some HIKE socks, those shits are cheap and warm), as far as im concerned if your buying rota's with the intension of faking the funk thats wrong, but on the other hand if you cant afford some rare "JDM" wheels or its your beater and your not trying to pass them off as mugens or spoons then fair play. Like polished slipstreams, blatently not spoons but they still look the shit, not for trying to copy another wheel but in there own right. | |
