| bit of an update on the 9! woke up early this morning to get started on it. was out on the car at 9 and by 11.30 i was splitting the gearbox from the engine out of the car. gotta change the pilot bearing as i think thats whats causing the noise! after taking the clutch and flywheel of and getting the bearing out im not too sure wether it is the bearing as it doesnt seem to be too noise when you spin it :S but gonna replace it anyway. then decided to give the bay a bit of a clean and prep ready to give it a little spray. gonna do this next weekend aswell as degrease clean and paint the block and gearbox. so now the bays empty again! seems like a keep going back to where i began! will get some more pics up of the process soon not long now! | |

| update time! well ordered some heat wrap for my manifold last week and finally got round to wrapping it! looks alot cleaner and from what ive heard its a good buy! also recieved my hel brake lines today which i will fit on the weekend if i get chance. so on saturday me and my good friend jonah got to work on the 9. we stripped the dash down and ready for a full tuck and went down to leicester to pick my seats up. sprayed the block and head and the inlet manifold too! all coming together nicely now. so hopefully the weekend i will have the wires tucked and ready for the engine to go back in. as im gonna spray the bay within the week. going to honda on wednesday to order in some new parts. pilot bearing, cv boot, manifold gasket, inlet manifold gasket, some plastic covers to cover the holes where the looms used to be. heres a few pics so far... ignore the red cable ties as they were just to hold it in place for the time being. back to stage 1...? more to come | |

| lookin clean as fark!
I got some bad news about the manifold wrap if its a standard steel manifold, i wanted to wrap a header for a H22 swap i was going to do, i looked it up and apparently you cant wrap a oem mild steel mani because it increases the temp of the mani to the point where it might melt.
Look it up incase im wrong

| Now i heard that wrapping mild steel is ok but stainless is more prone to crack as the heat wrap obviously holds the heat in and stresses the metal way more as it is thinner than cast manifolds,. Im gonna pop up soon Ben and come see this aint saw you in ages mann | |

DAMN right! but hey its all part of the game.
