| The sol is going in for its MOT on saturday, but i have a stud that sheared off the manifold to downpipe connection. To get round it for now ive bollocked a load of exhaust paste on there, but its still leaking a little. Reckon this would fail it? | |

| its a '92 plate so emmisions aren't a problem, just a little leaky. Ive meant to get round to pulling it off and drilling it out, but havent had time! Oh and where the feck's your body kit design boy?! | |

| I think a blowing exhaust is a fail, not 100% sure though. | |

| Its an advisory. Unless its falling off, missing parts, excessively corroded then it wont fail. | |

| changing the springs is pretty simple, 14mm spanner iirc, lop the lower control arms off and swing the whole brake assy to one side. undo the nuts on top of the mounts, slide the spring out so its on the deck. bang a spring clamp on quite loose and turn the retaining nut, if it starts to spin get a pair of grips and clamp the strut. or ignore the better part of that message if youre changing the whole thing out | |

| for my sol im sure i used 14mm for top mounts, 2x 17 mm for lower control arms and probably a 12mm somwhere.
basically if you have 12, 14, 17 & 19mm sockets or spanners youll be fine | |
