Im selling my Del Sol VXI for something more practical for work. Ive spent about a year rebuilding it back to a stock engine using genuine OEM parts, with a few light modifications.
12 months MOT, 6 months TAX
Spec:
1992 VXI with manual roof
Imported in 1998
Production number: 828 - One of the first 1000 ever made.
JDM D15B Engine
68K - Engine rebuilt to OEM 200 miles ago
Power steering
Electric windows front and rear
Electric mirrors
Toad CAT1 alarm + immobilizer with two remotes
Rebuild:
New valve stem seals
valves lapped
head skimmed
cam checked for wear
Valves set
Throttle body ported
Throttle plate tipped
New OEM intake gasket
New OEM V-tec solenoid gasket
..basically every gasket possible has been renewed.
OEM Composite gasket used to compensate for deck height.
Long block:
Block de-glazed + Honed
All pistons checked for wear + cleaned
Crank journals checked - all in spec.
Tranny:
Gear box inspected, synchro's all in spec.
new Exedy stage 1 clutch + bearing
Flywheel resurfaced
Other:
Air Con removed - rad, compressor + lines
New Toyo sports high flow Aluminium radiator
AEM/BMC Hybrid intake
Innovit 17' Alloys on Khuma Tyres, With approx 200 miles on them.
Adjustable Coilover suspension front and back - lowered approx 90mm
New JDM shocks front and rear

NGK BK6RE plugs fitted whilst engine breaking in
Cabin:
Custom 12' pioneer sub install between seats,
legacy amp with base controller
Fusion components front and back, with rare Gathers speaker covers
Crappy Kenwood Headunit that will need replacing
Bad points:
Small bubbling at corner of rear arches - almost every del sol incurs this problem.
Small bubble at top of rear passenger arch - again very common.
IACV needs cleaning
50p size paint missing off passenger mirror
As this is a new build, it can not be ragged for another few hundred miles. Will need a tune up
after another 400 miles/ 640 kilometers to include NGK ZFR6J plugs, new 10-40 semi synth oil and a coolant flush.
No time wasters please, main reason for selling is i will soon be up and down the motorway and dont want to see
a dying breed of honda get slaughtered from mass mileage.
