| So, about time i posted a build thread on this afterall i have had it a fortnight, so basically i swapped my 1991 skyline r32 gts for this very lovely FC3S Vert, i know its winter (and britain) but the soft top means ill be pimpin in time for JAE with the top down. Engine is untouched bar an exhaust (which after a visit to RRR me and chris figured its fooked). few bits and peices need tlc but overall on par, if not better condition than the r32 and about the same mileage, but with a tasty 200-220bhpish (its got the most poke ive owned thats all i care about, and can spin up the rears ) Unfortunately its been overshadowed by GT5 atm but after a few problems in the last week and getting it up and running perfectly today, dropping the mrs off at work and hit the deepest pot-hole in the world. First thoughts i thought ive fooked my coilover but after 5 hours of messing i think ive sortedd it, just gotta put all the lining in tomorrow. Plans are to drop it as low as possibe (need the arch roller first though as im already taking paint off the arches), front mount intercooler, some special wheels im eyeing up, and usual bits. Would love the re-amemiya headlight conversion but im not paying £1300 so im currently researching something watch this space pics and after me and chris added some poke:

| well, not updated this for a while so ill do some short sharp bulletins with pics a few weeks ago, i came to a meet and myt headlights did not want to work, after many an hour investigating it i bit the bullet and took it to and auto electrician, turned out (after 3 hours and £146) that a ground wire from the switch to the relay was damaged, so had to run a new one. Then, sunday nioght i went for a spin (literally) with ezz and alex, i wont disclose too many details on a public site but it involved sideways and lamppost, you do the math. Unfortunately none of us got pics, so ytesterday morning i got up bright and early and spent 7 hours sorting as much out as possible then today on my break i got the major dent out the door and now looks like this you may also notice its slightly lower, couldnt resist while it was in the air damage left to sort- exhaust manifold | |

| ok so wheels back on with fresh stretched rubber, however once again whilst jacking the car up slight mishap with the car rolling (me ezz and gaz didnt see it coming :S) and the rear bumpers cracked. So...........out come the cable tie stitches tomorrow. I know theres alot of hate for them, but as far as im concerned i cant afford to get it re-fibreglassed and instead of letting it look wank and flapping around why the hell not.
ill upoad pics tomorrow when its washed and sorted | |

| ok, so still waiting on rubber for the emitz, so in the meantime i decided to get some other bits done. Started off this morning by stripping the rear of the fc and fixing the god awfull rattle coming from the top of the damper/shock. I then decided to pop down Ben's (emperor performance) and it turned out into quite a good day tbf. Started off stitching my rear bumper with cable ties again as the crack i already had, started to spread and needed more cable ties. THen lance turned up with the ngk power leads, i thought being FD fitment they should fit the FC, as usual i was wrong. On the plus side he did have a mazda oil filter that i brought off him (the only thing i couldnt get before the fc's service before the cornwall run). After a few people turning up and leaving, i decided to buy bens little 100watt pioneer sub and amp tube as water leaks and lack of space in the back of the FC won't allow my 12" sub. Installed it under the rear parcel shelf so is all hidden and sound. also sorted my annoying rattling dashboard whilst i had the car in bits. Then, alex turns up and has his steering whell for sale, so thought why not. Fitted: [img] -/img] so much better than the momo imo. And that is all, will update with pics when the wheels are on and its lowered. Feel;s so nice to drive a normallish car again with no rattles! Kudos to ben for letting me use his tools aswell! | |
