| Mazda Mx5 Ltd edition 'dakar' version (number 120/400) 67k miles FSH 1.8 (130bhp) 1996/7 UK model when i picked it up.. and brief what has been done.. engine bay a good clean + full service tried my schmidt MLs, didnt like them.. some bits off to the powdercoaters.. before.. after.. [/quote] coilovers + lots of chopping.. Engine raise.. before the sump hit the block of wood.. now it sits like this.. shows where the washer used to sit.. new roof.. whoring.. after more modding to the coilovers (+ 195/40 tyres up front, as inner arch was sitting on the old ones, stopping me from going lower) im now sitting like this.. which is about -140mm from standard.. i know my wheel game is weak, but my new wheels (nothing spesh but have some nice girth) are being collected tomorrow so hope/should be fitted (refurbed/sprayed/tyres swapped over) for sundays TOA meet.. | |

| done quite a few other bits to it (ie interior also) but as said just brief whats been done..
ye, its tidy, few scabs but very minor for a UK model (usually really bad) but thats why i went for the latest year/model i could get in a mk1 NA..
i used a friend of mine (worked in tipton), he used to work in a wheel reburbing place, and do main dealer stuff (bmw etc) but is now in the process of starting up on his own.. | |

| he used to work for smart care (bloomfield trading estate by A1 clutches), i will give more info once hes started up (hes just sourcing the unit and equipment), he does know his stuff when it comes to powdercoating.. thanks for the comments though people big al, i had the same brand coilovers on my mk1 golf.. (ended up quite a bit lower then below pics) didnt and still havnt had any problems with them, dont go that low out the box, but for the money you cant grumble, i have had spax coilovers that give a worse ride (on soft setting) which cost x3 as much.. sent courier today to get my wheels, found out the refused to collect them, found out the guy didnt even put my name/address on them :S (paid extra aswell for 24hr) so now there getting collected tomorrow so wont have them untill friday, so doubt they will be on for the TOA meet, but still be be attending but in my mates (powdercoater) white (tidy) renault 5 gt.. so say hello LOL.. | |

| This is GORGEOUS! I absolutely LOVE FrogEyes! My gf had a stock 1.6 and even stock it'd handle immensely along B Roads and it'd have just enough poke to have some fun in the wet even with an open diff | |

| thanks guys (does look better in person tbh) just need to get me some 20mm spacers for the front now.. powelly, i couldnt resist not swapping the tyres and getting them fitted (but now wish id sent them off for polishing! ha, oh well) need to pull them off asap for a furb and paint, not sure what colour sceme to go for though yet.. i was just going to message you about the harness to see if you still wanted it, no probs about bringing it along, not sure if the other guy wants the other though.. (dont fancy being stuck with one), if he doesnt may just mod it to fit mine.. | |

| heat gunned and hammer, aswell as a scissor jack for slight flare (only way to tuck 9js), much care in doing it though, no paint cracked etc and nice roll.. 20/25mm spacers will be purchased for the fronts very soon thats for sure.. | |

| thanks fellas.. i hate my life, all i seem to do in my spare time is lower this thing! just took it down another 10mm up front, seriously in need of some stiff as funk springs now to stop the 5mm clearance (top of tyre to metal inner arch) being taken up.. Bring a sticker along and il find somewhere to put it | |
