Yh was mapped at garage 786, but he only did a base map becuase the input shaft on gearbox was playing up and I need a custom downpipe like yesterday, hence im not going all out on the bay because it will jus never see the road. Going to focus on making sure the cars safe, solid and just looks tidy watching the £'s

At the moment I'm getting all my parts ready to just bolt onto the car all in one go.

Sorted some much needed grip.
My EK project. - Page 3 B8eb1a66

And my Koni Yellows had flaked like mad due to being stored in the damp so wire brushed these and just coated them with some spare hammerite yellow I found at home just to protect them nothing special.

Going to purchase a grinder tonight so I can cut off all the bolts that are stuck on my new arms and anti roll bars ready for painting.

I'v joined the under sealing bandwagon
My EK project. - Page 3 3db69af3

Decided to tuck and re-route the wiring and Alarm better completely out of the engine bay.

My soldering has improved since last year, no more lumps and correct size heat shrink for the job works a treat, going over all my wiring from last year to make sure its correct and neater now.

Left hand side of the Bay now is completely bare, awaiting prep and paint.

Im still making progress on this, however at the moment it may seem like I'm going backwards but sometimes these things needs to be done.

My EK project. - Page 3 A1265581

Plan is to tidy the bay first take back all the rust spots maybe fill a few holes and spray it a nice simple colour, then clean up the block and then bang it all back together.

Maybe a delay as I'm currently looking to sell my DC2 now and purchase a cheap to insure and fuel daily for work ect and fully concentrate on this car now.

Minor Update!

Well the DC2 sold in a flash, got a lil runner as most of your already know.

So I have now got more free time on my hands to progress with the EK ect.

I was never happy with the wiring from Inline Motors, so I have decided to go over all of the engine loom removing anything not required and re-routing ect ect.

Always wanted a chasebays style engine loom that you always see on Honda-Tech, however there is no-way im going to pay so much for such a simple wiring loom, here goes my first attempt ever!

My EK project. - Page 3 Ca2c48a6

Too much electrical tape, I hate the stuff.
My EK project. - Page 3 2c36d248

Usually all of the alternator loom runs over the valve cover under massive plastic cover like this
My EK project. - Page 3 IMG_0579

Not anymore, routed down and under out of sight.
My EK project. - Page 3 E44e9399

Again more electrical tape and injectors looked a mess.
My EK project. - Page 3 D32f318a
My EK project. - Page 3 0523c35f
My EK project. - Page 3 8745b90f

Still plently to do, as I need to do a continuity test on each sensor to the ECU plugs once adjusted to ensure all will be fine when plugged in.
Just takes ages and with the weather not making its mind up this may take a while.
My EK project. - Page 3 4be95325

I know ill never get it to a chasebay spec but to be honest 90% of this loom will actually be hidden!

Also I have damaged my fuel line trying to remove a fully seized OEM fuel filter, so I have decided to run a custom line to an Inline Fuel filter which will be located on my fuel rail.

My EK project. - Page 3 8724183f
My EK project. - Page 3 436ce6a5

If anyone knows a good place to obtain fuel line fittings let me know.

More to come.

So far im finding the difficulty on a scale of 1 to 10 about a 4, but it is very very time consuming thoe, there is no right or wrong way to route the wiring it is all common sense/creativity.

De-Pinning the plugs is a must thoe!

Once all this is routed, I will unplug the whole loom off the engine and tidy it up more.

Im not aiming for any shows so iv got plenty of time, my aim is just once and for all finish this damn project but I want it to look clean.
