| well while the civic turbo is being built i needed another car. I was looking around a few salvage sites and came accross a frontal damaged subaru impreza GL. Never EVER been into Subaru's, but I thought it would be practical and cheap enough on insurance, and it looked nice with oem sti kit on it, and i went to have a look. When i got there, i realised straight away it was no GL lol......It was a jap import sti, and was in better condition than i thought! So when i got back home, i bidded online and got an absoloute bargain When i went to pick it up, the guys in the office wernt happy at all lol. They said laughingly, if they had realised it was listed as a GL they would of changed the listings right away, and wouldof got twice what i paid. So i hooked it up to my dads mercedes and got her ass back home sitting with the b18c4 donor Gave it a wash, and it proved to be in really good condition. Just dirty as hell. It has: Blitz BOV Cusco Front Strut Brace Engine Earthing Kit K&N CAI and Straight Through Exhaust Really pleased with how clean it is and it runs sweet The power steering pulley was right inline with the slam panel, and when it came back,it bent the pulley. So i took it off, straightened it, and it runs true as a new part So got to work stripping the front end to see exactly what i needed to replace The list was: Bumper Bonnet Grille All Lights D/s wing Aircon Rad Cooling Rad. Full Front Panel Pricing up the parts, i decided i'd facelift it while i was at it I found all the parts i needed at Daitoku Imports in darlaston. Guys were really helpfull and i quickly got them home Sent the parts off to my dads shop for painting, should be back read soon

| yeah its an sti, one of the earlier pre-facelift ones. Ive face-lifted it. what do you mean by that ned? petrol costs? lucky i live 5 mins away from my work, and 5 mins from college which i go once a week, so petrol wont be too much of an issue. what bhp is it?? ive been searching and i think its 250. the newer ones are 275. some sites say different to others | |

looking abit better now, still a few bits to do, like buy an sti badge as the new grille came from a 2000 turbo, and colour code the skirts and rear lip (as facelift sti's are all colour coded) nearly ready to sell cha-ching-more money to spend on the civic

| Are you sure thats a sti? no red inlet manifold, non sti intercooler and being on an l reg that would make it a version 1 or 2, which had different wheels to those, a 3 piece front lip and the seats are from a version 3.
could be wrong, have the dials got sti on them in pink?
