Was getting a bit bored of the overly chromed headlights so
after a can of satin black and some oven time this happened.

Front end looks much better now, just need to get some led sidelights as they are far to dull now.
Also ordered a DC upper rear strut brace to complete the set front and back.
Noticed the front is lacking in braking power so new disks are on the way as are braided lines.

looks good Cool

soak the bolts in wd and or penetrating fluid over night, then make sure you 'shock' the bolt loose, slow turning will encourage it to sheer off.

might be worth picking up an impact driver for the job, will come in handy.

well tdi-north are gonna get back to me on monday about a kpro, most people have said you have to take the car and they tune it but ive already made my own map and installing them is a walk in the park so hopefully i can just send my key, immob and eco to them they fek with it send it back and i do the rest.
Ive gone for a variable vtec window between 5150 and 8600 dependant on throttle, 8600 rpm limit and a 3200rpm launch, the rest will just sound nerdy.

I'd be wary of running a map made without the car.

what does the vtec engagement depend on? what makes it variable? (temp, preasure?)

what software you using btw?

using the hondata software available from them off the website
www.hondata.com

the vtec is fuel and pressure variable and also the % of throttle used
for instance if im using 100% then v will kick in at 5200 all the way to the top
anything under 95% (to accound for throttle cable slack and movements) then it will not engage unless the load and speed are within tollerances of speed over 40mph and thats only is fuel pressures and such are within the limits set. basically a windowed v-tec.

once i get the kpro in then it will be going on a rr to check fueling and such and if need be i can make adjustments on the fly.
there will also be a oil pressure and temp sensor factored into the program as to not engage vtec when both are not within parrameters.

got ya Idea

I can tell you now it will deffo need tuning when rr'd, i dont care how good anyone is with any tuning software there is no way of getting it bang on without datamaping.

Im pretty sure that from factory B series wont engage vtec unless oil is up to preasure and temp so im assuming the K series will be the same.

Glad to see someone finally getting to grips with the software side of the game, expect questions from me in the future Razz Wink

Yea the K series carries much of the same saftey protocals from the B series.
I will have it fine tuned once i have it all up and running, probably take it to fensport as they have a better understanding of this stuff and mapped my mates supercharged gen 7 celica with ease, took the 140bhp well over the 300+ mark but dropped it down to 270 as it was more managable.

Just ordered myself a new headunit also as my single din seems to enjoy bitch slapping the ipod into a daze. Kenwood dpx503 is on its way
cheers no more single din!

Well the DD has been in for a bit now, still loving it but i wish i could find a DD facia for it, i saw one located in japan and then never again!
Also...Facelift seats, rear dc strut brace, waeco retro fit heated seat system and blue ice magic tree are all sitting ready for my day off next wednesday.
Also thinking about moving my sub amp to under the rear seat, will it overheat and go fizzle?

why not under one of front seats plenty of space with cooling abilities, how big is this amp, will it not just screw into the rear of the rear seats looks ok when done properly.

couldent you make a thicker cut out of the wood bottom (goes over the spare tyre) and cut it out an place it lying flat? then possibly cover it with somethin strong so you dont damage it?
