Scweeet well ive got my garage and sorted and if we lift the car should all be good, ive also got some tall axel stands which might help..

ive just got to get the above sorted out unless you can think of another way to do the wiring??

Let me know your thoughts on either Saturday day time (mrs going out at 8pm- then ive got kids or all day sunday??)

you wont have vtec not thats its anythin major on those engines but it helps, being as your using the old non-vtec loom you will have to wire it in im sure, have you got a conversion harness?

Not yet im in the throws of sorting some cash to buy one I also need to get the ecu's Immobiliser remapped all in all about £130 / £150ish so will update once ive got some but hopefully if we can get the old engine out and new one in over the weekend it will just leave me the wiring to do / get sorted..

edit £110 for harness and about £40 for remapped IMMO chip in the ecu..

have you not tried to just see if you can get the same engine anywhere?? put up some wanted, you could save yourself alot of hassle if you can find a straight same swap.

Wll Kowalski on CL has offerd me a D16y7 but wants some cash for it, tbh u are right but its travelling / courier cost's too I dunno cus...

I'd go with a Straight Swap, just think of the extra expense as buying yourself out of a Shitload of headaches, either that or make the headaches worth it with a Bee One Six or Eight

well how much did he want? if its cheaper the the harness and mapp then go get it, dont you know anyone with a diesel van that can help you out? i dont know anyone with a van other wise i'd help you out

Im gunna head up boardsly green tomozzz see saj, try some other scrappies as well see if they will swap my engine and the D15z6 i dunno see if we can work somthing..

pretty sure if you where to give them your 2 engine's and they had a y7 they would swap it without a shadow of a doubt, we'll there's that coupe down in bilston but i dunno what engine is in it but its on an autobox, thats nothin tho you could just swap them over, i'll see if i can get over there tmz and check it out and report back on here with some info

^^ Dont bother as my cranckshaft seal has gon on my engine / gear box i think is knackered... im after a whole engine + gearbox im trippping over to boardsly later see what they have I rember a coupe a few weeks back with rear end damage I think its a D16y7 in that. Ill have a butchers.

So im officially stressed out..all this engine malarkey has done my nut in...I just want to be able to drive my car...

So went the brakers yards near highgate, what a joke, they think there sitting on gold dust some of em!! he showed me a rusted up D16y7 no rocker cover dried up oil... Seriously it look fooked..... I looked at him turned around and walked out!! What a nob!!!

He told me he had 2 engines one was still in the coupe, was it fook...

Im waiting for the Ebay guy to get back to me, i called him earlier at 6.30 hes just waiting to speak to his brother and ive offerd the D15z6 and £100 for them to drop it off as a swapz cant get any fairer..
