| Hey guys, well todays been a good day, works gone well, weathers good and it's only farking friday! With this good mood in mind, I decided that once i'd reached home from work I was going to fit my rear LCA's. I'd be putting it off for a little bit, worrying wether i'd be able to undo the inner bolts without them snapping! I knew the others would be cool as they had been undone not too long ago for fitting the coilies. At dinnertime I went out with a wire brush and banged a shedload of penetrating spray at either end. Reached home from work, chucked my tat clothes on and jacked the back end up. I began with the inner ones first as if I had any problems with those there was no point carrying on, fired up the compressor and brought out the airgun. Obviously with all the other good sh*t today it must have also been my lucky day as they decided to come undone peice of p*ss so cracked on with the rest of em Heres the first old one off ready to be replaced with the new one As you can see the bushes are beyond nackered! The new arm bushes arn't 100% but there a million times better than before lol! Swapped both sides over, re copper greasing the old bolts in the middle so should be all good! Dropped the car down and nipped all the bolts up properly as I read your supposed to do so in order not to twist the bushes? Back on the floor and all good in the hood One thing I did notice when swapping over was originally when i'd jack up the car the large coilover ring would very slightly foul against the trailing arm, with the new arms on and the better condition bushes it's pulled it away now literally just driven it around the block so can't say what/if any difference has come from it however at least I'll now be able to get hooked up with a rear ARB now and know my bushes are also decent again lol!

| no ebays! looks really good dude, can't help but think a nice aftermarket polished OEM looking backbox would set the rear off just right. | |

| I know what you mean dude, I will eventually get shot of the current backbox as its not very pleasing is it lol? Luckily its not loud which is probs the only reason I still have it lol. I'll be looking for something possibly a little bigger than OEM with an outward rolled tip me thinks! | |

| And now we play the waiting game I have a couple things waiting in the post for me now managed to find me a grey armrest for not silly money! Waiting for that to arrive from New Zealand. Got an EG6 front ARB en route also and picking up some D2 rear camber adjusted Friday so all is good! Weighing up which direction to go with rear ARB, I want something like a DC2 item but hearing horror stories of the ripping the fittings out without an ASC brace or similar so we'll see what happens there lol! | |

| I know yer, plus as with the LCA's I know I wont have any problems with the Hub bolts as they were undone when doing the coilies I bought them 1.) because I know i've got fresh bushings in place of the old tired ones and I don't know about spacing and stuff yet but depending on what a 4 wheel alignment shows when I get round to dropping it in I may look at a smidge more rear camber yer | |

| i had these on the teg. make sure you tighten the locking nuts well, because they are a quite corse thread, and the left hand side decided to adjust itself to give negative camber haha.

| Ok so am I REALLY that sad for feeling like a kid waiting for christmas waiting for this?? After waiting for a few weeks to arrive from New Zealand I finally got to pick up my armrest from the post office today obviously as soon as I pulled on my drive it got swapped out lol! Looking nice and cosy there ever since having an arm rest in my E36 I have to have one in a car if there available now lol! Unfortunately the Grey ones for EG's done seem to be half as common as the black ones thus having to get it all the way from New Zealand lol! Also if anybody remembered my thread asking about temperatures it turned out my fan switch was naff and the fan actually wasn't kicking in when hot (as much as I thought it was doh!) so after changing the fan relay (Thanks to Don for that one!!!) and it still not kicking in I got a new switch in there and all is peaceful again!! Next up: -Fit Rear Camber Arms -Fit exhaust manifold (STILL I know lol) -Fit EG6 Front ARB now new droplinks have arrived | |
