| from first hand experience imperfections make a car, they also show that the car is used and not just parked up in a garage. My outlook on my rx7 has changed since i smashed it, yeah now its dented and bumpers/skirts are held on by cable ties but i feel im closer to the car now. I'd rock an s13/s14 (or rx7 ) its crazy to see the contrast between all of us, some would rather mint hondas, others skidders. but anyway back on topic that s13's bad | |

| Yeah man, spot on there I think duane. I'm pretty much 50/50. I love the look of my integra when it's clean and shiny and I also love the comfort and practicality of it. But I also love the look of a rugged skidder that I can rag around daily and not worry about it gettin banged or scraped whilst still lookin badass. | |

| exactly the same view i have. talking to ezza the other night in brum parked up together looking at our cars, i love his S compared to mine, even though mine is, somewhat, 'cleaner'.
something about the imperfections that give it character. character, that that particular car may not have in its 'clean' condition.
On the other hand, theres nothing like a clean ass bitch!
take every individual car on its own merits

| ^and securing bumoers and other various panels (and exhausts) when crashing/mis-haps
most useful things in the world imo, couldnt run the rx7 without them

| Think I'm with Dave on this 1. I like both looks if done right, though I'd edge towards the super clean as I can only have 1 car an I'm a cleaning freak !! You can't polish cables ties, I've tried | |

| Its all good keeping a fwd 'mint' but when you spend £££ on fuel, tyres and skid into shit, polishing the inside of your exhaust , making sure your shiny lca's are clean and checking all your shiny shiny branded bolts/washers all face the same way becomes a bit of a 'formality'.
That sil80 probably got the bumper all fucked up while being 'used', depending on how frequently you 'use' a rwd car will determin how often your likely to fark up bodywork, and god knows i couldnt afford to replace my navan bumper once let alone a rocket bunny ps bumper.
imo: cable ties + money left over to 'play'>brand new painted shit + only being able to afford to park at an angle
but as already said, different strokes for different folks

| i'd rather a mint clean car FOR A DAILY with nice parts an wont always be getting smoshed into things, costing a fortune to run/buy parts and having to change tyres every month then
a car thats held together with cable ties, cracked bumpers, gets thrashed, makes noise's, is dented an stuff falls off.....
dont get me wrong i like the "used" look on drift cars but the only way you'd catch me rockin one would be as a second car, not as a daily, its just not practical IMO

| I guess it all about whats easier, for drift/track using cable ties u would actuallybe lookin after ur car more as i would rather a few plastic ties snap n then just pik my bumper or skirt back up as opposed to if fitted properly u wud end up breaking all the retaining clips ect n bending metal, it all depends what u rely on ur car for i managed to balance it out with my teg practical for getting to work and back, easy to repair, gives most cars on road grief not show style clean but it aint dented rusty and clunking about either thats what i call used.
I tried to keep a fully mint car when i had eg it was too hard bein a daily, was worried about messing up interior, an then cleaning the wheels all the time was a ball ache after all the hard wrk i ended up with a stoned chipped to fuk front end and no rear arches due to rust i guess we were all into same shit b4 but we all gone our seperate ways doin our own shit the way we want as long as u guys are doin stuff to ur cars because u want to an like to an not just so u can post an updated pic every five mins hopeing to obtain everyone elses approval then fuk it do what u want cable tie or polish whatever u want just dont expect everyone to agree on whats cool an whats not.
I think its better on toa now that we have a mix of cars tho

| Need to be careful with CA18DETs though, not as reliable as SR20DETs and the bottom end frequently goes on them If this car had an SR in it, then it would definately be worth the 4 grand asking price. | |
