| nice one, although tbh by the time its on road i should have my proper rims, the 18's are just so i can roll it while on the drive would be cool to see what they looked like though. Iv got one of the hubs on tonight, passenger front, coated the disc in oil to stop rusting, and taped up the stud threads to stop any corrosion (i know, i was just being anal). The drivers side front still has the lower arm attatched with a rounded nut, im struggling to get it off, any ideas? Tried hammering on a 16mm socket (its a 17mm nut) with no luck and blowtorched it as much as i could without melting the balljoint boot. Then i tried grinding two flat sides to it and getting the mole grips on, still no luck | |

| I thought about that too but I'd rather keep the ball joint in there, it's good condition.
Il see how I get on tonight and take it from there

| dont give up on it, now the weather is looking up just sort yourself out some good tools (if you dont already) and its a pleasure to work, i love it now for some reason before it felt like a chor.
After further abuse of the front LCA nut i had to resort to cutting it off and look at getting the ball joint replaced, after i cut it off i managed to take all my anger out on hammering the old ball joint out, haha.
got a new pair on the way for a good price and ben @ emperor performance will press the new ones in for a good price.
also have some new rear trailing arm bushes on the way, once these are all in i can sit it on the floor again!

| Right, today i cracked on with getting the hub swap ready to fit; As i have a pair of new ball joints on the way for the front i smacked the other one out ready. Then started on the rears, the hubs/trailing arms were seemingly cut out of the donor car with half the LCA's still attatched with shocks and half the camber arms still attatched and half the toe arms still attatched. For those of you who know how much of a bitch these bolts are to remove ON the car you can imagine the greif i had getting them free when its off the car, me and gaz (the guy i got my s14 off) wrestled with them for a couple of hours and finally got the hubs/trailing arms stripped of the offending arms. As i have a pair of new trailing arm bushes on the way i also smacked the old cut ones from the trailing arms, alot easier than i remember it being for some reason :s Anyway, next up im gunna clean them, paint my calipers my trademark gold (STILL have the same can of hammerite from my first honda LOL) and get the discs covered in oil to keep them from rusting. Sorry i didnt get any pics, too busy cracking on with it, i will next time i promise
