Bought this recently and started doing the basics that'll allow me to skid without fucking shit up.
As i got it, externally standard with R33 GTRs and a really pretty terrible cut down front plate
In order to get the car down to a respectable ride height i've got 30mm rear and 25mm front spacers, so ET0 at the rear and ET5 at the front, means the rim will no longer hit the shock and i can drop it like its hawtt.
To do that thought obviously had to roll the arches, so set about them with a hammer and then painted them back up. I think i may need to do a slight pull on the rear though, any guidance on this would be full mega.
Looking forward to getting it back on the ground, can't at the moment as the front suspension is off to try and free up the shitey lower Apex Gen 1 mounts.
Trying to go about this in a pretty 'needy' fashion..IE if i NEED something I'll buy it, not really interested in buying unessential stuff that'll probably just make me worse in the long run like loads of lock and things like that.
If youve read all this drivvel then cheers haha!

fairplay to having a go at yourself, if you need 'flare' then your gonna have to roll them.

The front and rears are rolled man, they'll probably both need flared though. Ill just use a pole haha.
The SE37ks are my skid wheels yeh.

Finally a build thread!
i think this is the first time iv seen a pic with the whole car in, haha
looks clean mate!
I did mine with a pole with pretty even/decent resluts, if my arches werent already rusty they would have come out mint, its just quite hard to not crush/crack the paint on the very edge, maybe wrap something soft round the pole? You do need to use quite a thick pole though, i used like a 4" thick pole and my car is quite low

You'll find when you change the steering wheel over the airbag light will stay on. Apparently you need some kind of circuit to switch it off... If it bothers you...

All that matters is that you had fun, anything stand out that needed changing/upgrading on the car after giving it a good skid?

Not on the car, not really.
The standard diff locked up fine, but id still love a welder or 2 way, the clutch WILL need done after the next day and my turbo gaskets ate themselves half way through the day and i was making like .5 of boost, so probably rolling with 200bhp lol
The only thing that needs work is me, one of the best guys there that goes said he was watching me and commented on me going harder than i probably should have been as it was my first day and said i'd have a much, much easier time if i went easier on the throttle ha.
but yeh, it was amazing. id love to do pod, our local is mostly 3rd gear stuff :\

not too bad then, gaskets are pitance and a clutch is inevitable
pod's 'big track' is all possible in 2nd, its a good beginner course tbf
What clutch you gunna go for?
