ive only had a short play with a welder, nothing full on.

Trust me

I play alot of GT5 with the G25 wheel, in the game i use H pattern shifter like a real car, unlike a real car i dont bother with the clutch.

I had a go in my mates 14 with a welder and i had to stop myself on many occasions from changing gear without using the clutch

with a welder real life drifting IS easier!
