| Yeah I got banned last year dude, its not a big problem. Dont worry about it! Is this your first offence? If so they are more leaneant on first offenders. I was caught doing 102mph on a 70mph dual carridge way during the day round a bend. I got a 21 day ban and £100 fine. The reason being I paid £100 for a lawyer to right out a script for me to say in court. Plead guilty, you will get a discounted sentance. If ya want any advice this is where I went. http://www.5ive-o.orgHTH dude! | |

| Unlucky mate! I was up for a ban when i had my nova (yes nova!!) 4 years ago. I was caught by the 5/0 doing 104 on the M54. I waited a month before getting my court date, and at one point had give up and thought i'd got away with it, until that white envelope with red writing dropped through the letterbox! At court i was told by the duty solicitor i was easily looking at a ban, and to be fair, considering he was supposed to be on my side, he was a complete cock. (basically one of those 'i drive at 27 in a 30 as its safer' w**kers) However having a dad as a copper proves useful at times so i went prepared!! I told them that there was no way other than using my car i could get to work as public transport didn't even go near, and it was to far to cycle or walk, so if they banned me, i would lose my livelyhood, and it would be hard to find work in that field again. Also i told them that i had to travel to see my G/F, so i would lose her. Because they cant just physically wreck your life, as the punishment has to fit the crime, i got away without a ban and took 6 points and a £200 fine with me. Just think about what your going to tell them, admit it, and say your sorry. | |
