My coupe Empty
PostSubject: My coupe   My coupe EmptyTue 05 May 2009, 7:51 pm

Hi guys.

I am now selling my beloved coupe which I have owned for just over 15 months. The car is in fantastic condition and the specs are below.

1997 Honda Civic Coupe.
D series automatic, no knocking, no smoke, no problems.
44K miles on the clock with genuine oil changes.
I have ALL reciepts from when the car was first purchased.
Previous owner garaged the car for 6 months of every year, hence condition of paint and miles.
MOT due end of January, tax due end of July
Sailed through its last MOT, no rust, no parking dings or dents on this car!

Car comes with factory fitted extras:

* Ivory leather interior
* Full Honda lip kit and sideskirts
* Electric radio antenna

Car comes with the following modifications:

* Spoon style mirrors (will need repainting)
* Honda OEM wind deflectors
* Spax RSX suspension (slight knocking from front right due to age)
* OEM EK9 headlights
* Facelift rear lights
* Import plates
* Harman Karden Ipod kit installed in car
* Toad thatcham 1 alarm
* Wheels are NOT for sale with the car, it will have Honda alloys with the sale

Little bit about the car.

I got the car in December '07 and loved it as soon as I picked it up. The previous owner was getting on a bit and wanted to let the car go to someone who would take care of her. I got it for £1K less then the best offer as he trusted me in looking after her. I put my parts on her from previous Civics and it has pretty much stayed that way. It gets regular cleans, polished once a week pretty much, as I cant stand a filthy car!! It runs fine and I was planning on keeping her, but I found an EM1 which suits my needs and ticks off a few of my boxes. I got quotes for an Auto to Manual conversion and Jerry at PerformanceTek quoted me around £600 for a 'drive in' 'drive out' conversion. Being a firefighter on retained and wholetime I just dont have the time to leave the car with them for 2 weeks.

The bad bits.

I am a fussy guy when it comes to cars, when people say mint I expect off the forecourt, brand new looking! So if I sound a bit OTT you know why. Right, here we go....

* Front bumper and the bonnet has some stone chips as expected.
* Side skits are the same in places.
* Rear bumper has a mark dead centre in the middle.
* As said before mirrors could do with a touch up.
* The windscreen has gone a little white along the bottom of the seal, which is due to a build up of moisture, but most insurance companies will replace these depending on your cover.
* Interior is fantastic, front seats have been sat in so not as tight as the rears, but no need for any work in there.

Thats about it for now so here are some pictures....

Please be aware I am NOT selling the car with the wheels or lug nuts. These will be finding their way onto my EM1.

Price.

I would be looking for £2,500 as it is, which is a fair price on condition, what I paid and the current market, however, I am open to all offers as long as they are sensible!

Any other questions please ask away guys, I have nothing to hide and I've been around on here long enough for most of you to know that Wink

Thank you.

Rich

About to pick up a mint VSM EM1 coupe. Bar the leather interior, this new coupe will have a B16, it will be manual, it wont have a spoiler and once the lip on the front has been touched up it will be mint. It will pretty much mean that I get the ideal Coupe I want, without spending a lot of money.

For now it will get the usual, import plates, exhaust system, my Schmidts and slammed on its arse with coilovers.

Oh and if you will have it still, this coupe (black one) will still be on the TOA stand as it looks like its going to a good mate of mine Smile
