| Got a small update/story;
Drove the car (for the first time in aaaages) to merry hill, on the way there it started to shake really badly, felt like the engine was resting on the chasis rails or it was starting to seeze up again. Limped it to merry hill and parked it up, thought id let it cool down and then check the oil after a walk around. Oil was fine, mounts were fine, so im like wtf? I limp it home, i get on to my estate and by this point i am soooo pissed off that everytime i drive the fucking thing something breaks I slam it in 1st and floor it so whatever is going to break just breaks. After a horrible sound and a bump i end up running over my accessory pulley (pas, alt). once it fell off the engine was fine and not wobbling atall! i was so pleased thats all it was (i thought it was something major) like an idiot im revving it and thraping it around my estate now it had stopped shaking, but unknown to me the timing belt was starting to come off now the pulley wasnt there, luckily when i parked up and had a look it was just about on, so..... bad luck: 4 good luck: 10
Then with the help of cus, toajay, tesh and markyboi we pulled the crank pulley off the dc2 (i hate taking stuff off this car) and threw it on the EK, also managed to change the broken ARB drop link, took her for a spin and im sooooo happy with it, it feels like a solid car again, feels like i can drive it witout worrying about every smell, noise and vibration (thats probably just in my head, lol), also with the straight thru cat combined with the oem back box it fully sounds like a ferrari!
still smoking on startup tho : (
but another day and more stuff sorted so im happy (and acheing)

| Glad it was a minor thing yo.
Try lucas oil stabilizer for the smoking thing, but if its just smoking on start up, cant be too bad.

| You havnt seen it since i washed it twice and then waxed it, shits blangin.
On a different note i think it i the rings that are playing up, i booted it from some lights a min ago and could see some blue smoke pooffing out, thats kind of good news because atleast i now know what it is, fark knows what i did wrong installing them then? :s
The guys at willenhall engine centre have been very friendly and helpfull (dispite me being pissy with them when i thought it was still the head) so hopefully when i get round to doing it il take a piston and a set of rings so they can show me what im doing wrong...
