| exactly
think about how many wires were burnt through in one section, about 1.5 inches thick, then add the thickness of solder, tape/heatshrink to that, it wouls end up too thick and be unpractical.
I dont want a fire hazard car just for the sake of a show

| I can guarantee its repairable, and be safe.
Only wire that you don't really wana extend are the injector wires.
the trick is not to solider all in the exact place that is how you develop the clump/lump in the loom good quality draper solider and heat shrink is your friend.
Then you do a simple continuity test to confirm the repaired wires are allowing the current/signal ect to reach its destination like I did in Alex's car for speakers other day.
Its easy to do, but time consuming.

| It would be easy if I had a uncut, unmelted original loom to trace/copy and all the right tools (de pinners etc).
I'm starting to make some sense of this mess now, it's all that obd business again, okay:
My car is obd1
S14's were built obd 1 until half way though 1995 when they switched to the soon to be released s14a's obd2 wiring.
So I need the loom from a pre (but maybe some) 1995 s14
Keep eyes peeled for any being broken please lads, it seems I have been unlucky enough to buy 2 looms both from crossover cars :@

| Hmmm, I cant comment unless I see your loom.
Iv been de-pinning my EK loom at work last few days no special tools, tiny slim screwdriver and small pliers do the trick.

You will have to show me the loom, only time it become un-repairable is if its burnt out but again not end of the world.
ill be doing EK loom tomoro n satday so when i come yours my brain should be in wiring geek mode so see how it goes.
if worst comes to worst I can take the loom the my workplace and let the two wiring guru's I work with take a jimmy wagger at it.
