| Hi all, Just thought I'd let you know how things are goin with the coupe. Or operation: get stance or die tryin. As I like to call it Here's a quick pic to remind you of what were cookin with The obligatory pulling out of a steep road scrapin the floor shot Was sat waitn for my mate the other night when I noticed the street lamp shining through the front window made this happen on my Recaro Anyway, some bad luck Some (I can only imagine) little prick decided to place a nice grey/white boulder in the road in the recent snow and due to it being camo with the snow I didn't see it till the last minute leaving me no time to swerve. The result being this Suffice to say 1 dead tyre and 1 rim bent to the point of allowing the air out of the gap between the round tyre and now flat rim !! As it happens these were not ultimately staying as they're not splitties and not wide/low offset enough. I must admit it wasn't the time to be wheel buyin but as it happens I stumbled across these for an absolute bargain They're only 7.5" and offset 36 BUT, I have been in contact with a guy who can split them for me as I want the centres re painting (I know the colour, you'll just have to wait an see ) He is getting hold of some new outers 1" wider making them 8.5" which will look nice with the 195/40/16's stretched on, this will also lower the offset to around ET23 I can then play with spacers, camber, coilies and the archenemy guy to get the fitment spot on Here's a look at them fitted as they are, sorry bout the iPhone pics and fading light. Will get some with a proper camera in some good light soon | |

| I liked the BBS's too, will keep my eye out for an odd wheel on ebay to make a set again They're ACT which were part of Ronal eventually. A company called Maverick Wheels, guy called Jamie, a fair price of £100 per outer IMO. He's pretty sound actually His No if you want it is 07990622122 or there is a website www.maverickwheels.co.uk | |

| Ah it's not workin for me either now !! Mebbes be back on in a bit !? Tbf £175 for an 18" with 5" lip isn't that bad !! Worth givin him a shout though (if he doesn't answer leave a message he's always got back to me) as he is having to get mine made as they don't come off the shelf for the ACT's anymore !! I could get Stainless Steel for £150 but as they'll be summer only use I'm prob gonna opt for the alloy jobbies and get some winter wheels. You'd have to spend ages polishing stainless outers weekly in our winters and I don't fancy that | |

| I suppose, il give him a try still, 350 i could BUY a pair of wideys is what i was thinking.
I think im gunna go stainless, from what iv read just makesure you seal them properly with a good polish/wax and keep on top of it | |

| Anyway, some bad luck Some (I can only imagine) little prick decided to place a nice grey/white boulder in the road in the recent snow and due to it being camo with the snow I didn't see it till the last minute leaving me no time to swerve. The result being this few years ago I did this to a rim, sent it off to be "rolled" by a guy who does refurbs the only damage after was cracked lacquer | |
