Decided to go and order the uprated roll bar bushes, lighter stronger droplinks and dialing in -2 chamber on the rears and 10mm spacers as well to make the arch fit hella flush to the tire!
Piccys tomorrow!
Clio failed its mot yesterday on a few hundred things so i'll be ripping the arse off that and putting new disks, pads, exhaust mounts, braided lines and bearings....damn french cars!

Well, yesterday was fun.
Went to put my new drop links and bushes on to find the reason why the old drops were bent to fook was because the roll bar had taken a knock on the left and had mullered the brackets that hold the bar to the chassis.
In the end i went to torqueflow ripped out the buggered bits, hammered them into shape and reinforced a few bits while i was under there and all is now good so i can get back to getting the car sat lower, the front will be the same as the old kit but the rears comming down a few inches!
I swear this cars cursed though, everything is blown into a full scale WTF moment.

Take one round-about in brum + Rxy + Foot to the floor / Sideways =
Ripping both tires from the alloys with the wheels spinning at 80.

Damn coilovers are good for grip it seems.
Clio's now back and i've fixed that up, now i can get back to the rex, Im going to be putting it away for a month or two while i sketch up a plan for next year.
Now the fundamentals of the car are all there its going to be tweek and paint with a few minor upgrades.
New tires at the back 275/35/18's
New smaller steering wheel
Remove stereo
Guages - Oil temp & psi, Water temp & psi, AFR and mount were the stereo was.
Tweek suspention.
Remove lots of trim.
Flock everything else
Spray car in a satin colour (im thinking white or yellow now)
Refurb alloys.

And then track/drift it. Very Happy

Suddenly getting rip while sideways and giving it more throttle to try and break traction again, sadly it failed.
The power fc recorded 80mph at the backwheels at one point, probably didnt help.

Happy new year everyone!
I figured you start the year as you mean to go on so with that i've been outside in the cold and slammed the rex as low as the rear coils will let it and dropped the fronts level but a tad lower and dialed in a bit of neg so the outer lip on the arch wont eat my shitty kuhmo tires lol.
Oh and i blacked up the rear side markers, stripped the rear a bit more and shoved in some nice 99ron petrol with a booster to see how she runs,
oh and i swapped the alloys round ned so now there right LOL.

Good man!!!

Apparently stretching tyres was born to stop that happening, well its either that or the other story about its illegal to have tread sticking out further than the fenders in germany so they stretched.

So much for saving up for wider rubber, just had to order new ht leads as mine over winter have suddenly shot themselves up, the throttle water bypass pipes split so a new one of them is needed, saw a Blitz DTT with fd3s harness on ebay so purchased that for 15£ (winner!) built a pc for the crack of it ( i was bored) and got spacers for the rears.
Maybe in summer i'll get some 265's.

yeah man, its better to sort all the little bits out first, makes you feel shit about ur car if there are little niggling things wrong with it.

Plus its not like 265's will make much diff in this weather anyway.

Yea i'd like another 10mm more bit then i'd have to fit longer studs.
Sorted a few engine bits and took it for a lap round the m42/m5 and a few twisties around tamworth, ran the speedo out of numbers a fair few times LOL. pulls like a pistonless rocket now, the coilovers really stick it to the ground to. should run smoother with the new 10mm ht leads
