| What are you looking to check for??
Most of the checking can be done simply whilst driving the car about, other stuff oil, plugs breaks are simple to check, gears as well crunching is not a good sign, steering pulling to left or right or clunking going around a sight corner at full lock...all pretty simple??

| If you wanted a full service, i could do this for you, plugs, filter, oil change, air filter etc if you got the parts for £20. I know a guy who would do your cambelt aswell, he is a mobile mechanic he has qouted me £100 including the belt for my CRX so cant see it being much more if not the same. If your interested let me know. | |

| ^^ THAT....
I agree, but done waste your cash for some one to say hmmmmm yeahhhh its all ok because ull be gutted if in the future somthing went wrong on it...
Ideally get your breaks done 1st, easy enough job or a garage should be cheep, dont get budget one's spend an extra couple of quid for good shoes and discs.
When was it last serviced??

| tbh theres alot of scaremongery surrounding service parts, you can only manufacture oil/filters/leads/plugs/ etc so well, beyond that point ur paying for the name/gimmick. Personally i stick with well known makes but usually dont buy into the "mega, turbo, advanced, super" bullshit.
Always worth doing a bit of reasearch, there are some good comprehensive write ups about oil knocking about the net, so im willing to bet there are writeups about filters etc, just make sure they are indipendant though.
Personally i would take aem over simota all day long
