I have a welder now, sump chop? im investigating this now on the US 5th gen forums....they know more...just gotta make sure i can take an inch or two out without fowling the pick up bidding on a spare sump now...as its only a matter of time... morosso do a sump with a step out section so as not to loose any oil capacity....but cant find a price/uk vendor oh and rim wise....dont think i havnt thought about it....lol...that width on the rear...

btw where in the blackcountry you from? netherton would love to go lower but it would mean custom engine mounts, hole in bonnet, custom or dry sump and more paper than a man can justify maybe moving up an inch rim wise fitting pending... so maybe a tad lower at the front - cus wrote:

mounts = hole in bonnet....its that close...H's are quite tall....am also lookin at dry sumps with external pumps etc...but huge ££ on a £700 car cannot be justified...just gonna sort the bodywork out and enjoy it whilst i save for the is300

| If they fit and it dropped down it would have looked sick! Rim was protruding the arch by about an inch and half | |

| been offered some other alloys...pics and specs They are a wheel made by Modena Racing. They are a 2 piece split rim, specs as follows: Fronts: 17 x 8J - about +40 offset. Has some 215/45/17 tyres on Rear: 17 x 9.5J - about +40 offset too. other set similar sizes The tyres are all nearly new, but all a mix of budget brands. As you can see, the original centre caps are missing and the last owner had some ok looking covers made up from Billet aluminium. They could be milled by a machinist into something better - there's lot's of material there to work with. 4 x 114.3 or 5 x 114.3. The centre part lip edge and bolts have been sprayed red and not done too well Being 2 piece if you wanted to decrease the offset ???? a decent price too recon wit better tyres and refurb could be nice?? opinions... | |
