| I'm going to call him tomorrow midday after I've rubbed skirts bumper down and if it isnt done I'll tell him I'm coming to get it and spray it as I know it has been stripped as it had been in the blaster when I took the base plates back the next morning so the prep work is nearly done anyway! | |

| This is awesome dude. I have always had a massive urge for a CRX or EF, finding nice ones now is bloody hard but this looks clean man. Are you bolting the cage in? Im sure you already know but make sure you use spreader plates and high tensile bolts, 8.8 atleast anyways . | |

| Cheers for the info dude, the cage came with the spreader plates you mentioned and the seller supplied me with a batch of brand new bolts, nuts and washers all 9.8 rated so they should be more than upto the job hopefully. Stokes im gonna make a start today so I'll call you later. | |

| I've got a friend with a 106, who I helped fit an omp bolt in cage. I told him many times I didn't want to do it with the bolts he had but he just kept saying fark it it's my car if it breaks my problem, problem was he wanted to use Allen key bolts, they were so thin it was unbelievable. He also had no spreader plates so the cage is now using his floor pan as a washer I'm surprised it hasn't ripped a section of his floor out yet. | |

| Bloody hell man!! I just dont understand some peoples mentality! I was saying not long ago one thing people skimp on too is tyres! As they are consumables people don't like paying alot for them. Last track day i went on a dude in a very highly modded RX7 was complaining his car felt twitchy. I looked at his tyres and saw he had RSRs on the front and some crappy budgets on the back!!! I just don't understand why!!! Your tyres are the only point of contact with the road. You could have the most advance Ohlin remote res shocks, 26mm ARBs, full spherical bearing RTA's Polly bushes all over the car and a full corner weight and geo set up. Doesn't mean sh#t if you are running crap tyres.

| So after a day of start stopping through the rain the cage is in. Was a pretty easy job really just time consuming checking and double checking all the holes before drilling. Also majorly happy as I lowered my sidemounts on the brides as I was worried about them fitting in withthe cage and there is loads of clearance now, will even get in comfy with a helmet by the looks of it. Literally just sitting in the drivers seat pulling it back into the garage, it feels like it's Going to be worth all the time feels like a proper cockpit with the extended shifter, long boss, little wheel, cage and seats. Just need to get some gauges sorted and make a plate for the middle section of the dash to mount them all and cover some shit up. I'm actually excited about the project again now!! | |

| It's meant to have a short shifter bottom section with long top section so throw is similar to stock but you don't have to move your hand as far from the wheel supposedly. | |

| Ahh that makes sense then as on mine the shaft is smaller so the throws seem well shorter than my old starlet. Can't wait for you to take me out on track in this when its on the road | |

| Haha ned, I'm getting some 22s 19j et+100 and gonna stretch some 195/20/22 onto them. Hopefully I'll have enough rim poking from my arch with no tyre touching it that I can mount the roof rack directly to them.
